In a city where green space isn’t always evenly distributed, Austin FC’s nonprofit arm is leveling the playing field – literally. Since 2023, the 4ATX Foundation and its community partners have been transforming empty lots and overlooked corners into bright, durable mini soccer pitches, free and open to the public. These pint-sized fields in places like Dove Springs and Taylor offer more than a space to kick around a ball: They’re safe zones for youth, hubs for neighbors, and proof that grassroots goals can change a community. It’s the beautiful game, made beautifully accessible.
