A newish East Austin arrival by way of NYC, Mother’s Ruin leans hard on the neighborhood-bar vibes; it opens early, closes late, and serves food all day long. A bar where one can grab both a cold beer and a hearty plate of food at noon on a Tuesday is appealing enough, but Mother’s Ruin ups the ante by offering a full-fledged brunch menu every day from 11am-4pm. French toast, breakfast burritos, chilaquiles with tri-tip, a McMuffin-ish sandwich – all available, all flavorful, all satisfying, and all hangover-vanquishing.
