Howdy’s markets, held on the fourth Sunday of every month, feel like an exceptionally curated yard sale. From the front stoop of their East Austin storefront, the market appears to be the size of a yard sale, too. But peek through the front-yard booths of sturdy jackets and silky slips, peruse shelves of Western-inspired accoutrements inside, and then – surprise surprise – beyond the back door lies a delightful open-air maze of vintage clothing and jewelry, records and furniture, trinkets, art, and plants. Accompanied by fittingly eclectic country-tinged tunes, you can soothe your weary shopper’s soul and sidestep through booths of cowboy treasures. Worry about finding your way out later.
