Over the holiday season, I participated in a white elephant gift exchange where I received a massive Wizard of Oz in 3D box set that included everything – a collectible notebook, movie-related trinkets, the soundtrack, etc. – except for the actual Wizard of Oz in 3D disc. No worries: I don’t have a 3D TV and if I want that Oz-esque spirit, I can just head to this Hill Country Ride for AIDS fundraiser fete. This night themed around L. Frank Baum’s magical tale provides much to those donating to this worthy cause: live music, tasty treats, top-notch mingling, and a costume contest for the best Oz-lander cosplay. Now there’s a three-dimensional Wizard of Oz experience you can enjoy even without the Blu-ray. – James Scott
