For eight years, Xochi Solis has shaped Austin’s creative scene as the board president of Future Front TX. As the multimedia artist completes her term, she invites fellow artists and community members to reflect and create alongside her in a celebratory, site-specific, participatory collage installation titled “In the days of various light.” As an exploration and reflection of the city’s cultural ecosystem, the work is a fitting finale to Solis’ work with Future Front, though certainly not the multihyphate’s final act of impact. – Caroline Drew
