Write and Draw a Story

My first story was written about a cat who loved to read. Was it Shakespeare? No, but everyone has to start somewhere, don’t they? Develop those literary skills in your kiddos ages 3 to 18 with this Austin Public Library-led workshop, where participants come away having both written and illustrated their own story. Whether you’ve got a teen who wants to tell the tale of a superpowered but sensitive self-insert or a toddler who still needs help holding a pencil, all supplies are provided for this journey into language, literacy, and a long creative life. – James Scott
