Women and Fair Trade Festival

The Women & Fair Trade Festival is an annual Austin marketplace, now in its 21st year, that hosts nine artisan producers from women’s cooperatives from all over the world. Women and their representatives gather in Austin to meet local buyers, enjoy local musicians and celebrate cultural exchange. Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera sponsors the two-day event. This community event celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our society, and represents an alternative to corporate globalization. Every person has the right to become self-reliant and live a prosperous life. Fair trade as a form of resistance!
