Winter Hymns (Special Film Screening)
Winter Hymns, the new feature from filmmaker Nathan Deming, comes to the Austin area for a special screening and Q&A at Flix Brewhouse in Round Rock on Sunday, August 30.
Written and directed by Deming, Winter Hymns takes place over a single winter day in a hospital, where Dr. Linda Vobernik (Colleen Madden), a palliative care physician, meets with patients and families confronting the end of life. As the day unfolds, she finds herself caught between the human need for compassion and a medical system increasingly driven by efficiency and other priorities.
