Austin guitarist Willie Pipkin brings his soulful, blues-rooted sound to H-E-B South Congress for a free True Texas Tunes performance. An Austin native, Pipkin is a longtime member of the Warren Hood Band and South Austin Jug Band, known for moving effortlessly through blues, rock and roll, swing, bluegrass and other roots traditions. He also leads a long-running Sunday night residency at the Continental Club. The all-ages show takes place Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in support of HOME’s work helping aging musicians remain safely housed.
