Way back in the mid-Nineties, a scrappy little TV show called Wishbone hit the PBS airwaves, teaching kids about classic literature through the eyes of an expressive Jack Russell terrier named Soccer. From the same company that produced the massively popular Barney & Friends, Wishbone ran from 1995 to 1997 and hinged on the premise of its canine star imagining himself inside the pages of Cyrano de Bergerac, Great Expectations, and of course The Hound of the Baskervilles. Get a behind-the-scenes look at all the work that went into this multiple-Emmy-winning program that was designed for kids but delighted adults, with this screening including a Q&A with documentarian Joey Stewart and producers Betty Buckley and Larry Brantley, who was also the voice of Wishbone. – Kat McNevins
