No need to wait until Sept. 16 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. The newly reopened MACC’s 19th annual celebration brings an evening of music, dance, and Mexican tradition to the shores of Lady Bird Lake. Danza Azteca Guadalupana, Ballet Folklórico de Austin, Latin Breed, La Sonora Hechicera, lotería, food trucks, and more offer a feast for the senses. Mexican Consul General Humberto Hernández Haddad leads the traditional Grito de Independencia, followed by mariachi and a folklórico grand finale. – Erika González
