I don’t mean our lovely multi-city dwellers who call Austin and NYC/L.A. home – although love and light to you people! – but rather bodily states. This is what compels artist Via Boley in her first solo exhibition: a series of Cubist-inspired objects colliding with their own fragmented pieces over wood panel surfaces. These flawed reflective pieces echo Boley’s own experiences with shifting physical limitations. “When I look past my body, I contain multitudes,” she says.
