America’s not been doing such a great job on that whole promise to the tired, poor, and huddled masses yearning to be free, and those struggles are only complicated when a migrant is living with a disability. Set Hernandez’s new documentary examines the life of Pedro, a blind, undocumented immigrant who has to navigate a system that seems structured to prevent his hopes to graduate and become a social worker.
