In the pantheon of comebacks from Nineties alternative rockers, Truly is one of the most unexpected. The Seattle trio, which consists of ex-Soundgarden bassist Hiro Yamamoto, ex-Screaming Trees drummer Mark Pickerel, and guitarist/vocalist Robert Roth, filtered Pink Floydian psychedelia through Northwestern grunge in a short career that included one overlooked album on Capitol Records and an independent, forgotten follow-up. But that major-label album Fast Stories…From Kid Coma, which turned 30 last year, has only grown in esteem over the decades, becoming the kind of cult favorite that relaunches careers. Hence this celebratory anniversary tour with all three original members. Philadelphia shoegazers Catatonic Suns open. – Michael Toland
