Exhibition Opening Event starts a journey through the one-of-a-kind phenomenon of Polish poster art. Two floors of a Round Rock Public Library will host a collection of artistic posters spanning the 1960s to today. Created for cultural events and to speak to sociopolitical issues, very different from commercial advertising imagery elsewhere in the world, they dazzle with a sophisticated visual language, surreal and expressionist style, bold use of color, macabre, and often satirical humor.
