Those of us with kitties have often wondered what’s going on in their little walnut-sized brains. Tomás Q. Morín explores this in new novel Cat Love, described as a “contemporary dystopian elegy narrated by a cat imprisoned in a Schrödinger’s box.” This charming and eruditely told story, similar to Kafka’s The Burrow, finds the cat narrator pondering freedom, love, and memories of her beloved human companion the Mustache as observers use her in their training to become Emotional Support Humans. Morín will discuss the book with author Szilvia Molnar (The Nursery). – Kat McNevins
