Tom Jean Webb: A Tale of Mind and Matter

Austin is lucky to have such a world-class artist show regularly as Tom Jean Webb, who splits his time between London and Austin, and has shown all over the world, from Hamburg to Beaumont. His newest body of work, on view this fall at Ivester, takes inspiration from radical positivity and manifestation, with vibrant, colorful paintings of surreal desert landscapes that offer the viewer a moment of joy and respite from a real world that often seems only dark. Multimedia artist Lauren Klotzman explores boredom in her accompanying debut solo exhibit with Ivester, “100% Ennui,” opening the same day.  – Lina Fisher
