We’ve been saying there should be more petting zoos for adults. Thanks to the fine folks of the Austin Public Library who’ve booked Tiny Tails to You, grownups get a little “hoppy” hour from 6-7:30 to interact with bunnies, hedgehogs, bearded dragons, blue-tongued skinks, chinchillas, tortoises, guinea pigs, miniature chickens, and baby chicks. It’s first come, first served and reserved for those 18 and up only, so stop by the “bouncer” (the library’s front desk) to get a ticket, then be let past the figurative velvet rope to unwind with some adorable animals. – Kat McNevins
