New from playwright Darcy Parker Bruce, this take on Where the Wild Things Are finds the Sendakian tale reimagined on the outskirts of a national forest. Protagonist Max’s world has gone feral since her recent separation, and the call of a punk wolf pack urges her to give in to her more bestial nature. Helmed by Vortex Associate Artistic Director Chris Fontanes, this production, starting Thursday, Jan. 15, features performances by Rachel Hancock, Phoenix Shaw, Angelina Castillo, Aurora Villarreal, Mon Darter, and Pablo Munoz-Evers.
