It’s been a few years since Austin’s premier acid doom trio the Well has released an album, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been active. Outside of continual touring, the threesome is putting the finishing touches on a record begun during the pandemic, so expect new songs alongside classics like “Mortal Bones.” Mexico-to-Austin transplants Gran Moreno continue to support their digital debut El Sol, the heavy psych & roll of which makes them perfect stage partners for the Well. Singer-songwriter and ex-Sound Team multi-instrumentalist Bill Baird’s Heavy Meddo, who just released single “Hairpiece Horsemen,” opens. – Michael Toland
