It is hard to fathom just how much shockingly good music was coming out every single week in 1991. Back then, the British indie rock band the Wedding Present’s album Seamonsters seemed like another excellent record in a year packed with them – rawer and noisier than their previous two janglier affairs, thanks to producer Steve Albini, but par for the course for a year that produced Nevermind, Spiderland, and De La Soul Is Dead. But Seamonsters has aged brilliantly, which is why this show kicks off a tour celebrating its 35th anniversary. With Unrest lead guy Mark Robinson opening. – Joe Gross
