When the weather turns chilly, you can count on the Weary Boys to heat things up. The Mario Matteoli-fronted string band’s annual reunion brings a taste of Austin’s raucous roots scene circa 2005, but the quartet also returns bearing a fresh single with this year’s “End Times.” The new tune strikes a more mellow and bluesier flavor, though the boys will undoubtedly turn back the Continental Club clock with their high-firing, California-fried brand of bluegrass. Rebecca Patek opens Friday with her wry folk and fiddle, while Saturday leads off with the hazy bootgazing of Crystalwash’s new LP The Pure Natural. – Doug Freeman
