Before this microcinema goes into hy-bernation, they’re playing host to a very special screening from Just Collaborative. Documentarian Anne Lewis presents two of her short films that explore various social issues: “Un Trip: raúlrsalinas and the poetry of liberation,” which takes inspiration from raúlrsalinas’ poem “Un Trip through the Mind Jail” for a split-screen jazz and liberation doc, and "On Dying of Dementia in a Capitalist System,” an animated auto-bio film following Lewis’ journey through placing her partner in memory care and his passing that also examines the push-and-pull between for-profit institutions and the care workers and residents in them.
