Sure, searching “freakiest composers” is a fun Internet rabbit hole, but notorious isn’t the only adjective to describe Ludwig van Beethoven; one might also apply the words indelible, magisterial, and sweet-ass-ivory-ticklin’ to the “LVB” works to be tackled by Austin pianist Anton Nel in consecutive but distinct nights. Friday’s program includes piano concertos No. 1 in C Major, Op. 15; No. 2 in B-flat Major, Op. 19; and No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58, while Saturday’s program features “Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, Op. 43”; Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 37; and Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 74, Emperor. – Kimberley Jones
