As we enter the transitional part of the holiday season, where Christmas tree decorating and pumpkin carving happen in tandem, enjoy the best of both worlds in Tim Burton’s thoroughly merchandised classic. The 1993 animated musical features Chris Sarandon’s voice for Jack Skellington, a scrawny skeleton who rules over Halloween Town. When he accidentally discovers Christmas Town, he becomes fascinated with the warmth and generosity of the Christmas spirit. Skellington attempts to revamp December 25 – naturally, chaos ensues. Watch Skellington right his wrongs, restore balance to the wintry season, and have vicious fun along the way. – Medha Sarin
