When: Thursdays-Sundays. Continues through May 10 2026
Nobody concocts a better prank than Mr. William Shakespeare, seen especially in this classic comedy about a gold-digging knight, Sir John Falstaff, who attempts to seduce two married women for their money. But the double-crosser becomes the double-crossed when the women catch wind of his deception and join forces to basically humiliate him in elaborate ways. Of course, multiple storylines centered on mistaken identity and courtship abound, involving one of the women’s daughters. Shakespeare is meant to be performed, not read, and it’s especially satisfying to see your talented neighbors and community members bring to life these evergreen stories in the historic and beautiful Scottish Rite Theater. Performances run through May 10, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 5:30pm. – Lina Fisher
