Have you ever ruined a karaoke night with your friends by attempting to sing Cat Power and bumming everyone out? What about bumming yourself out, when you realized Ego’s didn’t have any Dead Kennedys on the roster? Enter the Karaoke Underground, a sing-along club for punks who want to have a little fun. The 2004-launched organization boasts 1,614 alternative classics on its song list, from Bad Brains and Big Black to Alvvays and Courtney Barnett. The free, 21-and-up festivities run from 8pm to 1am at Drinks Lounge off East Cesar Chavez. – Carys Anderson
