Combining storytelling, mask, and stand-up comedy, The Horse of Jenin is constructed from the fragments of Palestinian actor and comedian Alaa Shehada’s own memories and stands as an ode to the power of imagination and the resilience it brings.
Shehada was booked to perform this show across the United States this summer. This tour was cancelled when his visa was abruptly denied.
Tonight's performance is a screening of this award-winning performance at the Edinburg Fringe Festival.
All proceeds, including any additional donations, go to Alaa Shehada, in an attempt to recoupe the loss of a summer's worth of wages.
