The 1960s-influenced rock fivepiece the Heavy Heavy spreads “Real Love Baby” as they go. Since 2019, the group has released positive, sway-inspiring songs like “Happiness” and “Go Down River.” Joining them is rising Austin blues rock trio Nether Hour, who offer similar optimistic lyricism as the Heavy Heavy – with an added funk element and mandolin. While the duets of Will Turner and Georgie Fuller are at the forefront of the former, the impressive guitar blends from Bobby Flaco, Bercy, and Bishop are the stars of the latter’s show.
