“A three-decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich – with arsenic sauce!” With apologies to Dr. Seuss and singer Thurl Ravenscroft, this triple-decker all-ATX stack is gonna go down like Who Christmas for the Grinch – and on Friday the 13th, to boot! Elijah Ford opens as a Black Crowes guitar scion, repping our town’s deep blues-rock vein in timeless fashion, while Andy Bianculli’s Sixties-bottling pop band Star Parks likewise taps all eras of Austin. Swaggering headliners the Happen-Ins then lower the boom with a Faces/Humble Pie/Stones hammer, their throw-downs too seldom given the members’ VIP status in local touring concerns. Don’t forget the lime slice for that sauerkraut-infused tequila shot. – Raoul Hernandez
