KaiJune continues with this American adaptation of manga creator Yoshiki Takaya's Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. But rather than making some schlocky Hollywood version, Re-Animator producer Brian Yuzna made arguably the first American tokusatsu rubber-suit action flick by hiring special effects masters Screaming Mad George and Steve Wang to direct. Alien technology transforms hapless nice guy Sean Barker (Jack Armstrong) into a cybernetic superhero, and gooey, hilarious violence ensues. – Richard Whittaker
