When: Sat., May 30, 10 a.m. and Sun., May 31, 10 a.m. 2026
Notching 45 years – some of y’all’s parents are barely that old! – the Austin Record Convention’s twice-annual convocation could be its own festival. Like last spring, the ARC expands into both PEC ballrooms, allowing for a stage and music Saturday and Sunday. Nick Garza’s baritone Texicana buzzes in a world gone mad with Charley Crockett, while global local Sarah Sharp evokes the Jazz Age on Saturday, 2pm and 4, respectively. Sunday, swamp guru Rod Gator and pop mad-hatters Parker Woodland load at noon then 2pm. Did we mention the known universe’s ultimate record and everything-pop-culture store of dizzying immersion? Early shopping Friday, $30, otherwise $5 buys all day Saturday and Sunday. – Raoul Hernandez
