To celebrate next week’s frozen treat-themed special issue, on stands July 16, the Chronicle has teamed with OG Austin institution Amy’s and Central Texas blood supplier We Are Blood for a joint blood drive/ice cream social, 3-9pm, at the sweet treat empire’s original Guadalupe location. Flip through the issue, enjoy live music by local power poppers Parker Woodland (7pm), and donate blood for a free scoop in return. Can’t make it?
