Newshounds and the civics-minded will not want to miss this year’s TribFest. They’ve always got a stacked lineup of political bigwigs and a full slate of fascinating panels, but with the upcoming election there is a bit more weight to the proceedings. If there’s a hot-button issue, TribFest will have at least one panel of experts discussing it, whether that be AI, education, immigration, healthcare, or anything else affecting the citizens of Texas. And with keynotes from former U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene opening the fest and Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman closing it, there’s bound to be some excitement. This year’s expanded arts & culture programming includes documentary screenings hosted by Hyperreal Film Club and an outdoor hub dubbed The Commons that features live music, free coffee from Mercado Sin Nombre, HouArts art activations, and indie media champion TOMO Mags’ mini bus. – Kat McNevins
