First started in 1988 by Linda and Cynthia Phillips, the tradition of gathering trans folks in the Lone Star State gets reintroduced by Transgender Education Network of Texas for their 15th anniversary. The year’s fete helps fundraising efforts for the nonprofit, who’ve been fighting for trans rights despite the near-constant attacks from our own state government. While the general admission price ($150) is a little steep for those of us with moth-filled wallets, if you’ve got the cash, there are few better ways to spend it than helping an org so dedicated to transgender liberation. – James Scott
