Youths! What are you doing this holiday break that’s not scrolling on ya phone? Because I’ve got a gathering to recommend that’s free, fun, and at your local library – which is a great place for all sorts of other excitements year-round, by the by. From noon to 2pm, this event created by fellow teens in the Library Foundation’s Teen Fellowship Program offers cookie decorating kits as well as materials to make clay ornaments for a wonderful winter afternoon away from school and family stresses. You could probably even take a little video of the whole deal and show off how totally offline you can be to your TikTok followers. It’s not touching grass – because it’s actually touching clay – but the idea’s the same. – James Scott
