In case you were concerned about the state of Austin’s favorite (fake) blood-spewing, gimp-masked punks, rest assured: “I’m Not Dead Yet” declares songwriter Andrew Cashen on the group’s latest single, the first from their upcoming sophomore record, SQUIRM. Snarling with indelible endurance and irresistibly irreverent intensity, the release promises Tear Dungeon’s apocalyptically cathartic sound is here to stay. If the music video is any indication, filmed as DIY venue Ghost Cat Lounge was demolished by a headbanging crowd, their performance antics aren’t going anywhere either.
