The repeat button was made for a Sweet Limb project. Most of Chris Robinson’s moody, catchy R&B tracks wrap before the three-minute mark, the songwriter’s soulful vocals and atmospheric keys setting camp in your brain and then disappearing before you’ve had a chance to absorb them. Fans of the local singer/rapper will recognize half the tracks – like the mischievous “Soul” or the Fak3 5miles-featuring “Missing My Baby,” both from last year's The Pastel Noise EP – on new project Axis, out the same day as this Batch show. Four new additions, which bring collaborators Street Peach and Wes Denzel along for the ride, bolster the record with clicky percussion and old-school introspection. – Carys Anderson
