A pomander, from French pomme d'ambre, i.e., apple of amber, is a ball made for perfumes. More recently the word pomander has been used to describe a type of potpourri made from oranges studded with cloves.
Make a sweet-smelling, take-home pomander that (if made properly) can last for years with a lovely scent that reminds us of the holidays.
