Ah, the humble pizza: base, sauce, and toppings with endless variations and combinations. Taking inspiration from all those options, Stories About Pizza features artists from raconteurs to dancers to ukulele players, all brought together by their love of a good pizza. The evening also includes two short films from Christine Hoang and Color Arc Productions: the award-winning “Pizza My Heart” and a work-in-progress screening of live action/animation hybrid “Sweet Potato Pig.” Will the night resolve the eternal debate on pineapple on pizza? Maybe not, but this celebration of the slice will be entertaining and give you something to chew on, and a chance to win gift cards for Detroit-style pie slingers Via 313. – Richard Whittaker
