Gen Z might have seen the Bob’s Burgers episode where they attend a patty-cake-themed show called CAKE and not realized that this was a parody of a Nineties-era Broadway smash called STOMP. The original show made percussion a spectacle with dancer-musicians creating jams with brooms, lighters, and, most memorably, garbage cans. This 30th anniversary tour literally brings the noise to the Bass stage for anyone who missed the craze the first time around. – James Renovitch
