“This is what democracy looks like!” protesters chant in the street in this rousing documentary, which offers ample proof that democracy also looks like the independent journalism Amy Goodman leads at Democracy Now!, a grassroots news operation that’s been a thorn in the side of corporate media, politicians, and powerful interests since the mid-Nineties. Goodman will be in attendance on Sunday with filmmaker Tia Lessin at this special sneak preview screening hosted by KOOP Radio, Democracy Now!, and the Austin Film Society. While the $125 screening & meet-and-greet tickets have sold out, you can still shell out a little more ($100) to attend just the meet-and-greet.
