Of all the Star Wars ripoffs released to parasitize George Lucas’ success like mynocks chewing on power cables, Italian imitator Starcrash was one of the first and definitely the most blatant. Hammer Horror icon Caroline Munro takes the Princess Leia part in a series of outfits that make the slave bikini seem modest as she zooms across the galaxy with a young David Hasselhoff, while former child evangelist preacher Marjoe Gortner gets to wave a knockoff lightsaber around.
