Wow! Spring do be sprunging these days, and how better to express your joy about this naturally beautiful time than through art. While the physical location continues its renovation journey, the Elisabet Ney Museum keeps their creative juices flowing elsewhere with new program Breaking the Mold: Mobile Art Crates. Each of the “crates” were designed by local artist Beili Liu to combine STEAM-focused teaching methods with lessons inspired by Ney’s life on the Texas frontier. This particular lesson focuses on cyanotypes, an innovative painting technique which utilizes the sun and physical objects to make new images. – James Scott
