Iä! Iä! Shub-Niggurath! Cthulhu fhtagn! Physical theatre experimenters La Fenice cracked the spine on the Necronomicon with lighter intention in their comedy, Cthulhu Beach Party, but now the terror-drenched legends of the endless ones get a more sinister and mind-wrecking retelling with the latest installment of their Speak No More series. These silent, site-specific, and immersive dramas began in 2018 with the Shakespeare-influenced Golden improv troupe at Hideout Studios, followed by 1920s murder mystery Golden Age at the Neill-Cochran House, black magic of VVitch at the Haskell House, and Contagion at Independence Brewery. Now the antique shadows of the Tavern will unleash their Lovecraftian secrets through an improvised narrative that audience members will walk through.
