Thirty-five years of bringing together the international and national tap scene closes out this year following 2025’s cancellation of Tapestry Dance Company’s long-running festival thanks to the National Endowment of the Arts’ massive reneging on already-awarded grant money. In 2026, they move forward with a “fond and heartfelt farewell to the decades of sharing shuffles” as the fest taps out one last show featuring artists from around the dance world. Classes have almost entirely sold out, although there are à la carte options if you’re not interested in taking an orchestrated track, plus two major concerts scheduled and open to the public. Just in Time is a Friday showcase of choreography from both festival organizers and participants, while Saturday’s Just Friends has this year’s faculty performing with the Soul 2 Sole Jazz Trio. – James Scott
