Along with all the back-to-school excitement comes news about upcoming projects from Austin’s many arts organizations. Swing by Thursday evening for a mixer presented by the Austin LGBT Chamber Art Committee in partnership with KMFA Classical 89.5. They’ve invited more than three dozen orgs, from musical groups like Austin Opera and Conspirare to film festivals like Cine Las Americas and Indie Meme to performing arts organizations like Deaf Austin Theatre and Zach. A wide swath will be represented alongside bites from Alfred’s Catering and drink offerings from several vendors. Participating orgs will be bringing prize packs, free tickets, and more, so you may leave with more than just information for your 2026-27 arts calendar. – Kat McNevins
