Texas actress Shelley Duvall died in nearby Blanco two years ago, by which time she’d been mostly retired from acting for two decades. But her career spanning the Seventies to Nineties was marked by so many iconic roles that she won’t be soon forgotten: Wendy Torrance in The Shining, Olive Oyl in Popeye, Keechie in Thieves Like Us… the list is lengthy, so We Luv Video couldn’t narrow it down to one for her appreciation night. So alongside the Shelley Duvall Archive, they’re showing a retrospective of behind-the-scenes footage and interviews along with an episode of Faerie Tale Theatre, the Eighties children’s show she narrated, hosted, and executive produced.
