The rock Brit-aissance continued apace this last September with the release of shame’s newest album Cutthroat. Drawing easy comparisons to Fontaines D.C., shame issues us a slash of their signature post-punk talk-singing on the LP, seasoned with a heavy helping of basslines and distortion. It’s not all cheek from the lads, though: The moody album closer “Axis of Evil” verges on New Wave territory, while the melodic “Quiet Life” and “Spartak” are primed for crowd sing-alongs. Want to be a part of the noise? This Mohawk show, with Canadian-Belgian rock duo GHOSTWOMAN opening, is your perfect opportunity. – Katie Hayes
