Also known as Santa Claus vs. the Devil, this Mexican-made film pits he of jolly cheeks and white beard against God’s cast-down son. The picture’s a notorious oddity as evidenced by its inclusion in Mystery Science Theater 3000 (that’s ye olde commentary comedy to those of you born after 9/11), but on its release it garnered quite the audience. So if you’re in the mood for a Golden Gate Award-winning movie (Best International Family Film) about Satan sending a demon to Earth to beat up old Saint Nick, Alamo’s Weird Wednesday is the ticket for you. – James Scott
